Casa Cultura

Latino Arts & Culture Center

Founded in 2012, Casa Cultura began as a grassroots Latino arts and culture initiative with a mission to preserve and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Latino community.

In our early years, we brought art to life by activating a variety of spaces throughout Greater Trenton; from our own home and neighborhood block to public parks and more prominent venues such as Passage Theatre, the Conservatory Mansion, the Ellarslie Museum, and Art All Night at Roebling Wire Works.

In 2016, we took a major step forward by opening a dedicated multipurpose space that included a music studio, art gallery, and flexible meeting space/ creative studio. This space quickly became a gathering space for artists, musicians, families, and organizers. It was where many artists held their first exhibits, where new musicians debuted their work, where friendships were formed, and new collaborations began.

When transitions occurred in 2018, Casa Cultura adapted by becoming, “un lugar sin paredes” or a space “without walls”, continuing to host programs, performances, and partnerships throughout the city. Even without a permanent home, our mission thrived.

Now entering a new era, Casa Cultura has found a new home in the heart of Trenton. As an arts and culture center, we remain committed to creating inclusive spaces for expression through music, visual arts, storytelling, and cultural programming that reflects the mosaic and strength of the Latino experience. Through workshops, events, and support for local artists, we bring people of all ages and backgrounds together to learn, connect, and grow. We are also dedicated to building bridges across cultures, fostering shared learning, dialogue, and mutual inspiration.
